“I’d bleed for you,” they say. But I’d rather stitch the wounds for you; I’ll heal from it, all for you.

Love is a complicated thing, and I couldn’t agree more. People often say that if you love someone, you’ll bleed for them, that you’ll die for them, but I’d rather live for you.

I’d rather deal with my personal issues than have you deal with the aftermath of my traumas. I’d rather check on both sides of the roadway before crossing than wait and clutch onto you.

I’d rather do things independently than have you deal with everything for me just because I am dealing with unresolved traumas. I would rather do better for you. I want to do better for you. Because that is the purpose of love.

Other people might pierce a bigger hole in their skin for someone, but I’d rather stitch the ones I have for you.

Loving you feels like breathing. Loving you means living. I could die right now, but, I’d rather live, for you.
